Farzana Abu Saamah is a qualified audit and assurance professional whose career has been defined by rigorous financial oversight and a commitment to the highest standards of governance. She holds a Master of Arts (with Honours) in Accounting and Business Finance from Heriot-Watt University and has completed her ACCA professional qualification — one of the most respected designations in the global accounting profession — further cementing her technical grounding in financial reporting, risk, and control frameworks.

Prior to joining Alpha Trade, Farzana served as a Senior Audit Associate at BDO, one of the world’s leading audit and advisory networks. In this capacity she gained substantive experience in financial statement audit, internal controls assessment, and regulatory compliance across a range of client mandates — developing the sharp analytical discipline and professional judgement that the internal audit function demands.

Farzana joined Alpha Trade with a deliberate ambition to deepen her expertise within the broker-dealer and hedge fund sectors — bringing an external auditor’s critical perspective to the firm’s internal governance framework. In her role as Head of Internal Audit, she is responsible for providing independent assurance over Alpha Trade’s risk management, control environment, and regulatory compliance obligations, playing a central role in upholding the firm’s standards as a regulated financial services entity.
